I met Torrey through desperation with my medical doctors. I was suffering from constipation, fatigue and loss of appetite. I already had low blood pressure, depression, light headedness and many other things going on with me physically that couldn’t be explained. I have been suffering from poor physical health conditions for more than a year. I had ruled out may things through a battery of tests ordered y my doctor to no avail. The only conclusion was more tests. My energy was at an all time low. I had no desire to do anything. I had worked a little bit with Eastern medicine before and thought his should be my next step. What a smart move on my part.
I received a few acupuncture treatments from Torrey, which helped in some ways. However it was when Torrey mentioned a hormonal test I should take called: Adrenal Stress Index that the mystery to my health problems began to unfold. this test showed Cortisol level very low. Cortisol is like the steering wheel for the rest of the engine. If cortisol level is too high or too low, it can make everything else malfunction. The test also showed gluten sensitivity, leaky gut syndrome and many other things. It is a great test to find out about your hormones, which by the way can e the underlying problem of many other things. Torrey and his staff education you about things like this. Like Torrey says, “we work to find out the root of the problem,” and they do!
Anyway, Torrey knew just what to give me to improve my health. Within a few days of taking some of the supplements he prescribed, I was starting to feel better. What a difference. I am starting to feel like myself again, seeping better, have more energy and am looking forward to each day. The main complaint is no longer there.
I know Torrey and his staff are only a phone call away. His office is so willing to help, and you feel like a person there rather than someone to pay the bills. “As a busy mother of three, part-time nurse, and an avid runner, a health issue was definitely not part of my plan. Two years ago, I began experiencing unusual ear and facial pain. For months, it was just annoying, but progressively it began to interfere with daily activities. I began to seek treatment and experienced a severe reaction to one particular medication that resulted in extreme fatigue, tremors, weight loss, muscle/joint pain, and a depleted immune system. I was referred to Torrey, initially, by my primary care physician after my back went out (again) and all my PCP could do was give me muscle relaxers, which weren’t working. I called and Torrey’s office staff worked me in that afternoon for an initial treatment. Torrey was very thorough in explaining tome how acupuncture worked to provide relief from back pain. I have been pain free sine that initial treatment.
Since that time I have been working with Torrey to address several other chronic medical conditions (mostly autoimmune disorders) though acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Prior to seeing Torrey, I was taking 7 different medications for these conditions. Now I take only 2 and some vitamin supplements.
Torrey has effectively treated my back pain, a sinus infection, high blood pressure, headaches and is working to improve my overall health by addressing the underlying causes of the autoimmune disorders, instead of just treating my symptoms.
Torrey is a wealth of information and to only do I feel better physically, but I feel more knowledgeable about my own health.
